Hosting Meta Fest 2025

How to Host Two Completely Different Audiences in One Day | Conference

How do you host two completely different events… in one day?
Same mic. Same stage. Two completely different audiences.

No pressure, right? 😅

That was the reality at Meta Fest 2025—one of the biggest creator and advertiser conferences across EMEA, hosted in partnership with Samsung. As a conference host in London, this was one of those moments that tests not just your energy—but your adaptability.

🎤 The Role of a Conference Host: More Than Just Energy

My mission was simple:

Entertain. Educate. Enlighten.
In that order.

But what most people don’t see is that great hosting isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing what’s right for the room in front of you.

And at Meta Fest, I had to host two completely different worlds.

🧠 Morning Session: Hosting Corporate Audiences (400 Advertisers)

The first audience?
Over 400 of Meta’s top advertisers.

Think:

  • Suits

  • Strategy

  • Senior decision-makers

This is where many hosts get it wrong. You don’t come in loud—you come in sharp.

Even the look mattered. I went with a light-blue, earth-tone check suit—professional, but with personality. Because as a corporate event host, your presence sets the tone before you even speak.

The Opening Strategy

I opened with a story connecting the Mad Men advertising era to the AI era—bridging nostalgia with innovation.

Why?
Because senior audiences don’t just want hype. They want:

  • Context

  • Insight

  • Relevance

That’s how you earn attention.

🎨 Afternoon Session: Hosting Creators & Creative Audiences

Fast forward a few hours…

New audience:

  • 100+ creators

  • High energy

  • Visually expressive

  • Community-driven

Completely different room.

So I changed the approach.

Yes… I danced on stage. 💃🏾

Because with creators, energy isn’t optional—it’s expected. And when you match their energy, you don’t just host the room… you unlock it.

The Message

I took the audience through the power of brand + creator collaboration—showing how authentic partnerships drive real growth.

And yes, I dropped a story about Vybz Kartel and Clarks 👟
Because great hosting isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being relatable.

🔑 The Biggest Lesson in Conference Hosting

If there’s one thing I took away from hosting Meta Fest, it’s this:

Be so prepared that you create space for magic.

Preparation gives you:

  • Confidence

  • Flexibility

  • Presence

And presence allows you to read the room, adapt in real-time, and create moments people remember.

Because hosting isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room…

It’s about lighting every candle so the whole room shines

🎯 Final Thought

Whether you’re hosting a corporate conference, a creator event, or a global summit, the real skill isn’t just speaking.

It’s switching.
It’s connecting.
It’s serving the room you’re in.

And when you get that right?
That’s when the magic happens.
